Yet that's what is happening in our nation and around the world 🌎. In some 3rd and 4rth countries they are light years ahead of us in these U.S.OF A STATES. Our children are not being educated, schools just pass students without assurance that they have masterea d any kind of curriculum. Bit dang if they can run a football down the field or dribble a ball down the court hey then a kid has at least some thought of making a living. At least now. In our futures our youths are going to have a near perfect knowledge with Calculus, Quantum physics and sciences . Even production agriculture is going to require theory of electronics and working relationship with technology. Without it we will starve if we don't destroying ourselves in the first place. Sure we flew through the first 250 odd years without all of that, but our futures from hydroponic fields that grow our crops to grazing cattle on Mars we better have a firm grip. Otherwise we are going to starve to death.
Don't put science of science fiction and StarTrek off on the shelf. The basic concepts expressed there are not so much a far reach.
I can remember when I was in 9th grade at Wendell Hlgh School. This professor from MIT came and gave us a assembly . In the assembly he demonstrated the reality of Dr. HIESIENBURG. If you paid any attention to episodes of Stng you heard many times of Obrien speaking about the Hiesienburg Compensator aka molecular transport. Like wise the stealthy Cloaking Device. Both are albeit experimental now but both are real. The demonstration at our school 🏫 took a prized poodle of one of the teachers and transported it from one end of the basketball floor to the other. Yes he beamed it across the floor. So yes that is possible. He also showed how bending light waves of spectrum could make something dissappear. Yes a cloaking device. The object does not really dissappear, it's the effect of altering wavelengths of the light and visual spectrum. This is what awaits us in the 22nd and 23rd and beyond Centuries. We better start teaching Quantum science immediately.
I had a teacher who taught Algebra at Hazzard High School. Mr. Lindsey. If you were doing well GPA wise in Algebra you could elect to take his Quantum mechanics course. I did and it was so rewarding that I am now taking online courses through MIT in yup you guessed it
QUANTUM PHYSICS and Quantum science. Which I am going for a Doctorate degree in.
