After the tragic break up, and it was my fault, but only partly, I had the chance to regain the old homestead, which as usual, Cousin Bud screwed that pooch. Any Flyte, I happened to snag a copy of a tiny want ad paper called Monkey Bizzness. Published by 3D printing of Gooding Idaho, and written and produced, by a real hottie, Named Mickey, who I got VERY acquainted with. So she lost her lease, called me up, sold Monkey Bizzness to the Knytes and the rest well is History. Monkey Bizzness, evolved into the Real Hazzard County Gazzette, and been writing that ever since. If I'm not flying, or toewing, or on the air here at HazzardAyre Radio, I'm writing and producing, the Hazzard County Gazzette. With all the juicy Luci 411 from the Shadows of Hazzard. What they didn't show on TV.
The thing is, Bro, myself, and the Knytes, made up our minds at the creation of the Club, that our Hazzard County, would be a helluva lot different than what was shown on TV. It was our creation, not CBS TV and the forgetful, ungrateful, cast and all at Warner Brothers Studios or the in Lou Stepp Production's that produced the show, for CBS/Warner Brothers.
We aimed to have our Hazzard County, to feel real, not just a reel from or on TV. So we brought in a few other things, from the show, like Daisy's shorts, to things we conjured up on our own. As we saw it from the MoonRunners, the pilot movie from which the seed germinated that created the Dukes. Sitch was we wanted to be a bit racy, flirty, a little dirty, but still in good taste. We called ours: The Knytes-of-Dixie, again the rest is history.
We must have been doing something right. We started with about 10 fresh members. Once OUR General Lee, was featured in the publication,(Custom Rodder, Feb 1982 ) the fuse was lit, as such, that 10 members grew into what is now near 30 million members strewn out through 6 subsidiaries, in all 50 states and several foreign nations. Including the UK, Canada, Australia, and a few others.
Now then HazzardAyre. All the title is, is just like an affiliated network KnyteWolf, which is just Hazzard County Radio, and AyreWolf FM combined. KnyteWolf was created by myself, Andrea Bennett, and another honey, at what was our place at the Wentworth Apartments, Evanston Wyoming unit C-202. Saying did we kick butt would be an understatement. Off the wall, fight the system, anti-establishment, independent thinking radio was and remains us right to today. Ya'll know why we shut down 4 years ago now, and the reasons I'm back here in Etown. With the loss's in Twin Falls of gear and all, it's a slow climb back to our former glory, and altitude. However, we are getting there.
And that's the way it is, for Saturday, January 2024.
